Throughout the year 2024, under the guidance of the Cultural Coordinator, Dr. Anusmitha K Vijayan, and Cultural Secretary Ms. Aswathy Mohan, students from Laxmi Memorial College of Physiotherapy (LMCP) enthusiastically participated in a diverse range of cultural events. They showcased their talents and passion across various pla orms, from intense competitions to collaborative performances.
The Annual Cultural meet AAVISHKAR 24′ of LAXMI MEMORIAL COLLEGE OF PHYSIOTHERAPY was held from LMET Auditorium and Hotel Moti Mahal in a befitting manner from 22nd July – 26th July 2024. It was a week-long programme.
Distinguished guests, elite guardians, faculties and the students of the college a ended the Cultural meet. All the competitive programs were successfully lead by the Team captains-Mr. Yamlal Chapagain, Mrs.Lavanya Prakash, Mr.Ashwin S R, Mrs.Amey Elsa Aji, Mr.Havil Dicson Lobo, Mrs. Sakshi A Wagh, Mr.Alen Chacko and Mrs.Fathima Beevi.The Student’s council and the team Invincibles, nal year batch of the college.
The program was a grand success and gathered accolades and appreciations.
Day 1 -WHITE DAY
The day featured a diverse range of creative events that celebrated various forms of art and expression.Participants showcased their artistic talents by creating intricate and colorful rangoli, followed by Quiz competition. Students demonstrated their skill in capturing lifelike portraits and scenes through their photography skills.They transformed others with makeover exploring the world of beauty and personal expression. They also utilized various mediums to bring their imagination to life on canvas. Creativity ourished as participants turned faces into canvases, therea er pencil sketch was held and painting imaginative and colorful designs that added an element of fun and whimsy to the event.
Day 2- GREEN DAY
It is an event where everyone dressed in green-colored clothing . Initially participants demonstrated their culinary skills by preparing dishes without using any heat soures. And therea er spell-bee competition was held followed by a Creative writing which encouraged the participants to showcase their literary talents. Then comes Elocution and JAM, where the participants delivered speeches on a given topic, demonstrating their public speaking and communication skills. Mad Ads was done, a humorous competition where teams created advertisements for ctional products. And the inaugural ceremony of AAVISHKAR 24’was done occasionally by the Public Relations O cer of LMET, Dr. Abhilash P V.
Day 3-BLUE DAY
All wore blue colour a ires on the 3rd day.And competitions began with Mehandi and followed by Debate competition. And participants also created and showcased their short lms and reels. And nally participants showcased their vocal talents by performing solo songs in a eastern musical style. And the day wind-uped by Eastern Group Singing.
Day 4-TRADITIONAL DAY
All wore traditional a ires on the 4th day. The rst event for the day was Mime . This competition highlighted the creative and theatrical Talents of the participants. Followed by Personality Contest was held. Contestants showcased their unique personalities through speeches and talent displays. And then pairs of participants performed songs together, harmonizing and complementing each other’s voice. Western Solo Singing followed by Western group singing which were really melodious.
Day 5- FINAL DAY
The nal day of AAVISHKAR 23’ was a memorable culmination of the entire cultural festival, auditorium had been set up in a grandeur arrangement, allowing participants and a endees to celebrate their achievements. Various Dance competitions were held and participants showcased their choreographic and performance skills. They performed several dance styles, such as contemporary, hip-hop and traditional cultural dances. Fancy Dress competitions were typically fun and creative where participants dressed up in imaginative and whimsical costumes. Fashion Show being the nal competition students got an opportunity to display creativity in clothing and runway presentation. And nally the Mr Aavishkar title was awarded to Ricky Varghese and Mrs Aavishkar to Riya Dsouza.Team Targaryens lead by Mr.Havil Dicson Lobo and Mrs.Sakshi A Wagh ,with their exceptional performance, claimed the title of “First Place Champions,” leaving an indelible mark on this year’s Cultural Competition.Prize distribution was followed by a Dj and then everybody got dispersed.
