The CME of hands-on session on Vestibular Rehabilitation was conducted on 4th July 2022 at AJHRC conference hall with over 70 delegates from various colleges in Mangalore, Bangalore and Kerala. The Resource person for the CME was a US trained vestibular therapist, DR. PHILIP JOSHUA. The CME was conducted in a dual mode approach with 5 online sessions in the month of June and 1 hand- on session on 4th July. The Resource persons for the online sessions included Dr. Philip Joshua and his team mates DR. DANIELLE TOLMAN, DR. MEREDITH GEBEL AND DR. ALLISEN AYUSO. The CME began at 9 am with a theory session on BPPV and its management followed by an inaugural ceremony at 10.30 am. The Secretary Student Research Forum, Student Council of Laxmi Memorial College of Physiotherapy, MS. CHAITHANYA PREM delivered welcome speech for this inaugural function. The Dean of AJ Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Center, Dr. ASHOK HEGDE was the chief guest for this inaugural ceremony. In his speech, he emphasized on the importance of physical therapy in the management of Vestibular disorders. The Resource Person, DR. PHILLIP JOSHUA, given a brief introduction about Vestibular Rehabilitation. The Principal of Laxmi Memorial College of Physiotherapy, Dr. SANJAY EAPEN SAMUEL, delivered a speech for the gathering. And the inaugural ceremony ended up with the vote of thanks of the Organizing Secretary, DR. PRIYA S. Associate Professor Laxmi Memorial College of Physiotherapy. The CME session continued with the hands- on session on BPPV diagnosis and intervention.
