Laxmi Memorial College of Physiotherapy in collaboration with School of Social Work Roshini Nilaya conducted a program with an outreach of Autism awareness. It was conducted in the panchayath office of Neermarga. The program began at 10:30 AM with a prayer to the almighty, Mr. Arnold, an MSW student gave a welcome speech and introduced The President of Grama Panchayath, Shrimati Dhaaravanti, Sreejisha PK, Assistant Professor Laxmi Memorial College of Physiotherapy and Fr. Vinesh, MSW student Roshini Nilaya, Ms. Nagashree Intern of LMCP hosted the autism awareness act Udaan, which was in the form of a dance act and performed by LMCP students. It showcased a rehabilitation team through which they conveyed and extend solidarity toward the autistic community. This was followed by an interactive session with autistic people where it was explained to them about the Facility for screening and management that is being provided by the Physiotherapy department of AJ hospital. The program was ended with facilitation given by Fr. Vinesh.
